About

The Victoria Tea Festival Revival returns for a grassroots farm-to-cup experience and community learning, presented by the International Tea Appreciation Society (ITAS). On Saturday, October 4th, from 11 AM-5 PM, tea enthusiasts will come together to drink teas from around the world presented by experts in their fields. Festival activities include a tea fair with tastings, tea symposium, live music, food, ceramics gallery, documentary screenings, and the World Tea Championship.

ITAS acknowledges that its operations and the Victoria Tea Festival Revival are hosted on the unceded territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən people, represented by the WSÁNEĆ, Esquimalt and Songhees nations.

ITAS and the festival are a collective of local and international tea enthusiasts, farmers, and artisans. We give thanks to the traditional and indigenous farming practices that have sustained these lands and continue to be a vital part of cultivating tea. Without the guidance of multi-generational knowledge keepers, we would not have the meaningful relationships we cherish today with the lands that provide us with tea and the rich culture surrounding it.

We commit to honouring these territories, supporting indigenous communities, and fostering a deeper understanding of their history, culture, and contributions to our collective heritage. We actively seek opportunities for collaboration and partnership with indigenous farmers and artisans locally and internationally as we strive to build a more inclusive and respectful tea community.
